Coaching to Move You in the Right Direction

If you think you or your team are drifting, motionless, or off course, Aware and Willing can help you get your bearings and get moving forward with purpose.  We provide help via:

  • Individual coaching - For executives,  leaders/managers, individual contributors in any type of organization, people who are in between organizations, or individuals who want to pursue goals outside a formal organization.
  • Team coaching - For teams aligned to common goals or outcomes (e.g, a project team, leadership team, a department).
  • Group coaching - For groups that are not teams but have a common interest but who are pursuing separate goals or outcomes (e.g., new leaders who are in different organizations, individuals wanting to improve their work/life balance, etc.).
  • Mentor coaching - For people seeking an International Coach Federation (ICF) designation, coaching and feedback in a collaborative and appreciative process to increase your capability in coaching.

Coaching Engagement Duration + Coaching Conversation Frequency

The length of your coaching engagement will depend upon your goals, your pace of progress, and your desire to stay engaged and continue the effort.  Coaching engagements that focus on development over time may range from 60 days to several months to a year.  Aware and Willing's goal is help you move from where you are to where you want to be as quickly and effectively as possible, not to make you dependent on a coach.  Engagement agreements can be revisited and revised where needed.

The frequency of our coaching conversations may need to vary depending on your goals, timeline for attaining those goals, and your preferences and availability.  Some coaching engagements merit having several discussions in a short time period before increasing the time between conversations.  We will work this out as part of our coaching agreement.

Coaching Approach and What to Expect in Your Coaching Engagement

Aware and Willing's approach to coaching will help you think and gain clarity about your:

  • Goal - What do you want?  It could be a work or personal goal or dream you want to achieve, or a work life or personal life matter where you feel stuck, uncertain, or blocked from getting what you want.
  • Reality - Where are you now, relative to your goal?
  • Options - How might you move from where you are now to where you want to be?
  • Way Forward - Of the options, which appeals to your as the way forward?

Here is what you can expect from your Aware and Willing coaching engagements:

  • You will set clear goals and identify measures for success so you know where you are going and can tell when you've gotten where you want to be.
  • All our conversations will have a focus and will result in you having "homework," things you will do to move yourself forward.
  • You will be coached on what you want and what's important for you.
  • You will be coached in a way that taps your power, not makes you reliant on someone else's power.
  • You will be coached in a nonjudgmental way, yet you will still be accountable to make decisions and take actions to move yourself forward.
  • We will end with a closing discussion of  your goals, learning, progress, and accomplishments.
  • Our conversations are confidential, unless there are legal or ethical problems that must be reported to proper authorities.
  • Your coach will adhere to ethical practices in keeping with the International Coach Federation's  Code of Ethics.
